Oncall Shift does not collect your data. Your shifts, incidents, rates and settings are stored on your iPhone and nowhere else. There is no account, no server that holds your information, no analytics and no advertising.
Everything you enter: your rota and your teammates' names and colours, the incidents you log, your hourly rates, your public holidays, your reminder preferences and your chosen theme. This information is stored in the app's own storage on your iPhone. We cannot see it.
Public holiday import. When you ask the app to load holidays
for a country, it sends that country code and a year to the Nager.Date public
holiday service (date.nager.at) and receives the list of dates.
Nothing about you, your rota or your incidents is included. Like any web
request, the service can see the network address it came from; that is handled
under its own terms. The holidays are then stored on your iPhone, so the
feature works offline afterwards.
Nothing else. The app makes no other network requests.
If you turn on calendar sync, the app writes your shifts as events to the calendar you choose on your iPhone, and can read events you select in order to import an existing rota. That happens through iOS and stays between your device and whichever account you have added to it — for example iCloud, Google or Outlook. The app does not send your calendar anywhere else, and calendar access is optional: the rest of the app works without it.
Shift reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone. No push server is involved and no notification content is transmitted.
The one-time purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app only asks Apple whether the purchase exists on your Apple Account.
CSV exports are created on your device and shared only where you send them, using the standard iOS share sheet. We have no copy.
The app is a work tool and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
